Impeachment Rally
A peaceful protest at Austin City Hall calling for Congress to open an investigation to determine whether there are sufficient grounds to Impeach President Trump with a lineup of speakers, musical performance by the Resistance Choir of South Central Texas, and an appearance by the Texas Handmaids
Texas Handmaids Procession to the 45th TX Roe V Wade Rally
The Texas Handmaids will robe up and march from the Impeachment Rally at a dirge pace very slowly towards the South side of the Texas State Capitol down Congress as the Resistance Choir of South Central Texas sings "I Can't Keep Quiet Anymore" by MILCK intermittently, arriving at the start of the 45th TX Roe V Wade Rally. The slowed pace is intended to boost impact, allow our singers to breathe, and to avoid leaving slower marchers behind. Anyone who supports reproductive justice and wishes to bring a sign and follow them is welcome to do so! We strongly encourage people going from one event to the other on foot to stick together following the Handmaids as a flag for safety in numbers. Wendy Davis will be marching with us!
45th TX Roe V Wade Rally
A peaceful grassroots intersectional celebration of the Reproductive Justice Activism Community in Texas featuring a speaker and performance program on the South Steps of the Texas State capitol including a keynote speech by State Representative Donna Howard, a speech by Wendy Davis, a great lineup of diverse speakers, and a community information table fair featuring tables from many key local activism organizations (more info here)
